Privacy policy and personal data protection for the Racine platform

This privacy policy aims to clearly inform you about the personal data we collect, how we use it, the rights you have, and the means available to exercise them.

1. Introduction

Racine respects users' privacy and undertakes to ensure a high level of protection for personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data collected

Racine limits personal data collection to what is strictly necessary, following the data minimization principle. 2.1 Registration and profile data: personal information (first name, last name, email address, hashed password), account type (individual, producer, public authority or organization representative), full address (street number, street, address line, postal code, city, region, country, GPS coordinates), marketing preferences (newsletter, sector updates, marketing emails, community updates). 2.2 Usage and interaction data: favorites, interaction events (contact clicks, favorite add/remove, searches), producer listings (name, description, contact details, website), order data (order numbers, statuses, amounts) for relevant users. 2.3 Technical and navigation data: session data, hashed IP address for anonymization, technical information (browser user-agent, screen resolution, language, time zone), visited pages, time spent, referrer, derived geolocation (postal code, city, region, country), bot detection indicator. 2.4 Analytics and search data: search terms, search type, number of results, user location, aggregated metrics, Stripe data (account identifiers, onboarding statuses, payment information) for professional accounts. Important: IP addresses are systematically hashed to preserve anonymity.

3. Processing purposes

Personal data is used for providing and improving services offered on the Racine platform, managing user accounts and access to platform features, producing global and anonymous traffic statistics, and ensuring security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

4. Tools and processors used

Racine follows a privacy-first approach and limits third-party services. 4.1 Analytics and audience measurement: proprietary internal analytics system hosted on our servers, anonymized data, no Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or external trackers. 4.2 Payment services: Stripe for secure payment processing for Racines Pro and Racines Enterprise offers, with only transaction-necessary data shared, PCI DSS and GDPR compliance. 4.3 Hosting and infrastructure: servers hosted in France and the European Union, data encryption in transit and at rest, access restricted to authorized technical staff only. 4.4 Error monitoring: Sentry is used for production technical error diagnostics with strict data minimization (no request bodies, no cookies, no tokens, no full IP address). Commitment: no transfer of personal data to third countries outside the European Union; all providers are subject to the same data protection requirements.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Racine uses cookies and similar technologies transparently and with your consent. 5.1 Types of cookies used: session cookies (authentication and login persistence), preference cookies (consent and settings), technical cookies (platform operation), analytics cookies (anonymized audience measurement with your consent). 5.2 Consent management: consent banner on first visit, granular choices that can be updated at any time, local storage of your preferences, no non-essential cookie without explicit consent. 5.3 Retention period: session cookies deleted when browser closes, preference cookies stored until your choice changes, analytics cookies retained up to 13 months. You can disable cookies at any time via browser settings or our preferences management interface.

6. Your rights

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right to access your personal data, rectify or erase it, restrict processing, object to processing, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
